From Learning to Leading: Trevor and Clyde’s Journey of Becoming Masters of Driving

Trevor and Clyde, two Clydesdale horses residing on Mask Island Farm in Barry's Bay, Ontario, are well-known for their impressive builds and kind personalities. However, prior to their recent trip to Quebec, only Trevor had received training in driving. The two horses embarked on a 2 hour journey to Quebec for specialized driving training.

The long and exhausting journey was worth it as they were greeted with open arms upon arrival in Quebec. They trained with experienced and passionate driving trainers and quickly adjusted to their new surroundings. Despite the intense and demanding training, Trevor and Clyde rose to the challenge and learned how to pull wagons and sleighs and will soon be able to work in the fields (this Spring) using horse-drawn equipment such as a furrow plough and other horse-drawn implements.

Over the course of their training, Trevor and Clyde's confidence skyrocketed, and they formed a close bond with their trainers. They became proficient in their craft and eagerly anticipate putting their newfound skills to the test. After 9 weeks of rigorous training, they are set to return home to Mask Island Farm this coming weekend.
